Great shoes and a haircut
You know the day will be a good one when you’re wearing excellent shoes, and these red clogs from Lola Ramona made my day! On top of that, I had a haircut after work and love the result.
Aren’t the clogs gorgeous? I’m so in love with them. I bought the top in Tokyo and the leggings are from Pieces.
It’s usually my male cat, Wilcox, who enters the spotlight when I’m snapping my outfit pictures, but today my female cat, Nokia, decided to examine the camera …
Now I’m going to see if Mr. Boyfriend is up for an episode of Twin Peaks. I’m watching it in the right order for the first time ever and I’m addicted!
Modern Classics
As much as I love my dresses (all 48 of them), sometimes there’s nothing better than a great pair of pants, a top and some killer heels. That’s what I opted for yesterday when the heat seemed unbearable and my hangover even worse. I had some friends over for dinner, drinks and Eurovision and wanted to dress up a bit. Being a true supporter of the Danish song (i.e. the WINNER!), I obviously had to wear red and white. The top is from Mondo Kaos, the leggings are my red Funky Fever Highwaist leggings from Pieces and the shoes are Lola Ramona. It’s been a long time since I wore an outfit that made me feel this good about myself! I really am a sucker for bright colors.
I’ve got a couple of days off now because of the Whitsun holiday and on Wednesday I’m going to Paris (YES! PARIS!) which means I will have so much more time to read. I’ve been a bit off lately when it comes to books. Sometimes you know what to wear but not what to read. I haven’t read anything really good in a while. They’ve all just been so-so – not bad, but not really good either. There’ll probably be a lot of 3-star book reviews in the weeks to come – consider yourself warned! Today I sat staring at my to-read shelves and just didn’t know what to choose. The classics can sometimes be too much on a holiday and the “new” books have let me down a lot lately. Suddenly I had this urge for modern classics. Isherwood, Capote, Yates … I wish I could read them all at once, the urge is that strong! I need something brilliant, yet edgy … I need admirable writing that touches my heart, stories that entertain me and strong characters who’ll rock my world. I hope these lads won’t let my hungering reading-heart down!
Off to Amsterdam!
I’m almost all packed and off to Amsterdam with a friend in a couple of hours – yeah! I’m so excited by this trip! I’ve never been to Amsterdam, but from what I’ve read, it’s cozy and pretty with great opportunities for vintage shopping – what more could I ask for? I’ve just about finished packing: some good quality basics, which in my book are my comfy and pretty shoes by Molly Holly / Lola Ramona that to me screams spring, my second hand leather jacket, second hand Burberry skirt, a good pair of jeans and some easy reading:
I just had to show you this picture I took yesterday after work: I had a wonderful moment on the steps of my apartment, reading a book, drinking some ginger tea and enjoying the sun. I wore cobalt blue leggings from Pieces and my beloved Poetic Licence Fifties Flair. These colors looked so wonderful in the sun, it would be a shame not to capture the moment.
Now I think I’ll clean the apartment up a bit – I always make such a mess whenever I pack, and I dont wan’t my boyfriend angry at me while I’m gone! Have a nice weekend out there – see you next week!

I’ve been in a bit of a frenzy lately with Pieces’ Highwaist Leggings. They come in so many great colors and cost next to nothing. Though I bought two pairs last month, I just had to get some more colors and bought these four pairs. And to tell the truth, I still want more!
I also bought this pretty collar with pearls. I already know it’ll be one of my favorites.
A Day Off = Shopping
Had the day off yesterday to recover from the Oscar Show. After only 2 hours of sleep, I decided I had enough energy for a shopping spree. I got these two shirts from Monki – I had a gift certificate from Christmas, so I ended up paying next to nothing. I had my doubts about the shirt to the right, but decided I had to have it, even though it’s a bit silly.
At Pieces, I got these two highwaist pants. This cut is my absolute favorite! With wide hips and a somewhat small waist, I always have trouble finding jeans that fit and I’ve been searching for the perfect pair for years. These are just perfect! And they’re very cheap. I actually consider buying more – just in case they ever stop making them. Oh, and then I fell in love with this necklace and had to take it home with me. I think it will go well with the shirts.
Last stop was H&M where I had to pick up some tights, but this sweater begged to enter my closet, so I let it. I think it’ll go well with the black pants.
Kontatto shirt
Så blev den nye Kontatto skjorte og halskæden fra Baan Suan luftet. Er helt vild med begge dele! Har i dag sat skorte og halskæde sammen med jeans fra Pieces og – surprise – Moly Holy sko fra Lola Ramona. Om et par timer skal jeg til Bellevue Teatret og se sommerballet. Hav en god aften derude!
The new Kontatto shirt and the necklace from Baan Suan was sported today. I love them them both! Today I paired them with jeans from Pieces and – surprise – Moly Holy shoes from Lola Ramona. In a couple of hours, I’m going to Bellevue to see a ballet. Have a nice evening everyone!
Rave
Var til “rave”-party i går. Fik endelig luftet Bianco-stylterne jeg købte i sidste måned. Kjolen er fra Tokyo og havde også debut. Utrolig behagelig og luftig på en varm sommeraften. Har lettere tømmermænd i dag og har haft dem med på græs i solen og fodret dem med is.
Went to the “rave” party last night. Finally sported the Bianco-stilts that I bought last month. The dress is from Tokyo and was very comfortable to wear on a warm summer night. I’m slightly hung over today. Been resting in the sun and eating ice cream.
Black and White Summer Dress
Så blev det endelig rigtig sommer! Fejrede det med at tage en af mine yndlings sommerkjoler på – en gammel sag fra Thailand. Leggins er fra Pieces og er et af de bedste køb jeg har gjort denne sommer. Skoene er selvfølgelig fra Lola Ramona. Er helt vild med det lille slips foran!
Summer’s finally here! I celebrated by wearing one of my favorite summer dresses – an old thing from Thailand. The Leggins are from Pieces and are one of my best purchases this summer. The shoes are of course from Lola Ramona. I just love the little white tie at the front!
