I’ve used a huge part of my maternity leave knitting baby hats for the lil’ one. It’s one of my favorite ways to use yarn leftovers. I sometimes feel like I’m drowning in yarn leftovers. It’s like a bottomless pit: no matter how much I knit, I can’t seem to get to the bottom of all the yarn. The pink and purple yarn are leftovers from my Entrelac Pillowcase, and the blue yarn is from my 40s sweater.
All the patterns are free. The pink one is from DROPS Designs. The pattern for the purple and blue hats are both from the same pattern on Ravelry (Split-Brim Toddler Hat). The Ravelry-pattern is my favorite, as it allows you to add your own stitches and it’s easy to adjust the size. Instead of using double pointed needles, I used the magic loop, which is becoming one of my favorite techniques when knitting in the round.
For the blue hat I used the Coin Stitch pattern:
For the purple hat, I used the Dandelion Flower Knitting Stitch:
They are so cute Gitte, I like that you have used different techniques. I have startet knitting a blanket with leftover yarn from Arne & Carlos, so that I don´t waste any yarn – Gods forbid 😉

Thanks Anja! Your blanket looks good – looking forward to seeing the result 🙂
